That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 release date

On the official website for the anime adaptation of the light novels authored by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime)," the first promotional video for the third season was unveiled. The video confirms that the premiere is set for April 5th in Japan and reveals that the idol Rin Kurusu will perform the ending theme titled "Believer."

It's noteworthy that this third season will feature an extended duration spanning two arcs, totaling six months of consecutive broadcast. Additionally, STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION will handle the creation of the new opening theme.

Meanwhile, Fuse commenced the publication of the light novels with illustrations by Mitz Vah in May 2014 under the publisher Micro Magazine. A manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami is currently serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine. To date, two seasons have been produced, totaling forty-eight episodes, along with multiple OVAs and animated spin-offs.

Synopsis of "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken"

Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old corporate worker, leads a content but uneventful life in Tokyo, having never experienced romance. During a chance encounter with a colleague, he falls victim to a random street attack and is fatally wounded. As he fades, a mysterious voice fills his mind with incomprehensible commands. Upon regaining consciousness, Satoru finds himself reincarnated as a slime in an unfamiliar kingdom, endowed with the extraordinary ability to consume and replicate anything it devours.

In this new form, Satoru encounters the sealed catastrophic-level entity known as the "Storm Dragon," Veldora, who has been imprisoned for 300 years for wreaking havoc on a city. Understanding his predicament, Satoru befriends Veldora and vows to aid in breaking the seal. In gratitude, Veldora bestows upon him the name Rimuru Tempest, along with divine protection. Liberated from the mundane constraints of his former life, Rimuru embarks on a journey with newfound purpose. As he adjusts to his slime existence, his mischievous adventures span the world, gradually reshaping his destiny.
