Mushoku Tensei announces its return date accompanied by a teaser

On the official website for the anime adaptation of Rifujin na Magonote's light novels, 'Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation,' a recently revealed promotional video offers a glimpse into the second part of the second season. Confirming the series' resumption on April 7th in Japan, this part, constituting 12 episodes, contributes to the overall 25-episode count for the confirmed second season.

The initial segment of this second season aired during the Summer 2023 season (July-September) in Japan, with Crunchyroll overseeing its distribution in the West. Conversely, Rifujin na Magonote commenced the release of the light novels, illustrated by Sirotaka, in January 2014 under Kadokawa's MF Books imprint, concluding the series in November 2022. The manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa has been serialized since May 2014.

Production Team:

• Hiroki Hirano (assistant director of the first season) assumes the directorial role for this second season at Studio Bind, succeeding Manabu Okamoto.
• Toshiya Oono (86: Eighty Six, The Promised Neverland, Land of the Lustrous) is responsible for scriptwriting and supervision, also taking over from Manabu Okamoto.
• Sanae Shimada (World Conquest Zvezda Plot) manages character design and animation direction, replacing Kazutaka Sugiyama and Yoshiko Saitou.
• Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Land of the Lustrous, Isekai Cheat Magician, Love Live! School Idol Project) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.

Synopsis of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

In the face of a lifetime marked by harassment, disdain, and oppression, a thirty-four-year-old hikikomori discovers the fortitude to embark on a heroic endeavor, only to see it culminate in a tragic accident. However, a stroke of destiny transports him to another world, reborn as Rudeus Greyrat, commencing a fresh journey as an infant born to affectionate parents. Armed with retained memories and knowledge from his previous life, Rudeus swiftly adapts to his unfamiliar surroundings.

Possessing the wisdom of an older adult, he unveils magical prowess that exceeds all expectations, refining his abilities under the guidance of the mage Roxy Migurdia. Rudeus receives swordsmanship lessons from his father, Paul, and forges a close friendship with Sylphiette, a girl his age who swiftly becomes his confidante. As Rudeus seizes his second chance at life, he endeavors to maximize this new opportunity while overcoming the shadows of his traumatic past. Perhaps, in time, he may uncover what eluded him in his previous world: love.
